Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service selects Infoterra’s Imass fire product suite to provide emergency location and risk Information solution
- Vehicle-Mounted Data System to increase on-site operational safety at incidents with on site access to key data
- Follows recent order from Lothian and Borders Fire & Rescue Service


Infoterra, a wholly owned subsidiary of EADS Astrium, has achieved further success in the Emergency Services market with a new contract to supply a Vehicle-Mounted Data System (VMDS) part of the Imass fire product suite, to Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service.

The announcement follows Infoterra’s recent VMDS contract with Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service, and confirms the Infoterra system as the ideal choice for emergency services organizations supporting a safe systems of work needed to optimise performance of front line resources.

Already a successful user of Infoterra’s hydrant location and management information solution - Hydra, Hertfordshire FRS has selected Infoterra to supply the mobile data solution for the entire appliance fleet. The contract will include the Central Management System, part of the Imass fire suite, to enable seamless delivery of critical risk information to front line crews using the in cab solution, data will be managed by the support team back at Hertfordshire’s Service Headquarters.
