Case Study Seychelles
In 2008 Infoterra produced the first ever slick screening project over the Seychelles, which to date, is an area where there is limited seismic information available.
As there was limited archived satellite data available, Infoterra tasked the satellites to acquire as much data as possible during the optimal weather window to increase the likelihood of acquiring suitable imagery for slick mapping. The project was conducted in preparation for an up and coming licensing round with potential seepage slicks identified over a number of interesting features on the seabed geology.
The projects costs were low in comparison to shooting seismic and provided the client with some key focus areas.
