Case Study: A14 Topographic Survey
The UK Highways Agency, commissioned Infoterra as part of GeoSurvey Solutions to undertake a Lidar survey of the A14 between the M1 Junction 19 intersection to Junction 62 Dock Gate.
The survey was primarily undertaken to provide a ground model for the eight Traffic Management Scheme areas, in order to investigate the suitability of certain locations along the route for the citing of gantries.
Data capture for the survey activity included 8 points per metre Lidar, 10cm aerial photography for orthophoto production, topographical surveys, installation of PGM network and structure surveys.
