Bathymetric Mapping
Infoterra has developed a number of in house processing techniques using optical satellite imagery for bathymetric analysis.
Satellite data can be used to extract information regarding water depth and the sea floor environment. With the advent of higher resolution satellites such as QuickBird and GeoEye and higher spatial resolution imagery from WorldView-2, higher definition bathymetric maps can now be produced.
Infoterra has carried out a wide range of bathymetric studies globally including the Middle East and West Africa looking at a variety of applications such as habitat monitoring and seismic planning.
