Onshore Exploration
Infoterra offers a comprehensive range of onshore exploration services, from data acquisition, to processing and interpretation, to digital map production - delivering desktop and field-based onshore services.
Geological interpretation, structural studies, seismic planning, fractured reservoir studies, fault and fracture analysis... a few of the services our expertise can deliver.
Infoterra is able to provide reliable access to a huge range of Earth observation satellite data, so we can acquire the most suitable data – imagery and digital elevation model - for a specific application.

Structural and stratigraphic interpretation:
Derived from either radar or optical satellite data at various scales and typical studies include information on:
- Regional structural and tectonic elements
- Location of major folds and faults
- Major stratigraphic units
- Regional drainage patterns
- Identification of potential exploration leads
Enhanced structural and stratigraphic interpretation:
Using higher resolution source imagery and integration with elevation information allows additional geological information to be derived, including:
- Stratigraphic boundaries and relative dip of bedding surfaces
- Fold, fault and fracture analysis
- Analysis of drainage patterns
Field Work
Office based analysis of imagery can be augmented with detailed fieldwork. Services include:
- Mapping and ground truthing of satellite image interpretation
- Analysis of structural controls on fractured reservoirs and mineralisation
- Collection of field samples and section logging
- PIMA II spectrometry and analysis of field samples and drill core
