Infoterra has been successful in the introduction of its Strategic Emergency Planning and Response System (STEPS) to the NHS by delivering STEPS to South Central Ambulance Trust who have adopted it as part of their multi-agency response procedures.
Another key contract awarded to Infoterra by the Department of Health, was to build and supply vehicles for use by NHS ambulance service trusts on its Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) programme. The HART vehicles incorporate communication technology and operational response systems. Infoterra, working with Excelerate (the technology integrator), is supplying STEPS - which will be installed on all 80 vehicles to support operational planning and response at major incidents.
