The AGI
The AGI represents the interests of the geographic information industry, including users in the public and private sectors, suppliers of software, hardware, data and services, consultants, academics and interested individuals. By providing this forum, AGI can give unparalleled opportunities to communicate with the GI community for significant business ends.
The Survey Association
Formed in 1978 as the UK Land & Hydrographic Survey Association, TSA as it is now better known, is firmly established as the representative organisation of UK private surveying firms. It is run by a full time Secretariat and an elected Council of Members.
TSA’s main aims are to:
- Provide a vehicle for members to act effectively on agreed courses of action
- Promote the interests of the profession to the relevant authorities and persons
- Identify and represent the views of the industry
- Inform clients about the benefits of using a TSA member
BARSC
The British Association of Remote Sensing Companies (BARSC) is the trade association of companies involved in the field of remote sensing. It aims to conserve and promote its members' interests, and encourage and facilitate cooperation, especially between those undertaking consulting and contracting services. BARSC works closely with BNSC in promoting national activities in Earth observation.
EARSC – European Association of Remote Sensing Companies
EARSC is a non-profit-making organisation which is actively involved in coordinating and strengthening the Earth-observation chain and promoting the European Earth observation industry in programmes such as Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES).
RSPSoc
The RSPSoc is a Society which was formed through the merger of the former Remote Sensing Society and Photogrammetric Society. This merger followed from the increasing convergence of remote sensing and photogrammetry, together with a growing need to develop capabilities and expertise in the use of both remotely sensed and photogrammetric data.
The new society is particularly involved with the co-ordination and promotion of activities in remote sensing and photogrammetry, the promotion of relationships and discussion with other related societies, the encouragement of commercial and government participation in remote sensing and photogrammetry and in supporting education and training at all levels.
UKISC
UKISC's mission is to represent the collective interests of member companies in promoting space and space related business, and their share of the market. Member companies' capabilities encompass the design, development, manufacture and control of satellites for communications, navigation, Earth observation and scientific applications, together with their payloads and ground support systems. The leading edge technologies and research and development activities are among the most advanced and diverse of any undertaken by industry.
